ORDER : The Court made the following order :- Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate(Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent.

2. The petitioners apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 498-A of I.P.C., read with Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act and under the provisions of Domestic Violence Act 2005 in Crime No. Not known of 2020 on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.

3. The case of the prosecution is that the marriage between the first petitioner and the de-facto complainant was solemnized on 01.11.2017 offering 36 sovereigns of jewels to her. It is alleged that since the date of marriage, there was a demand of dowry by the petitioners and the petitioners were causing harassment to her. On the basis of the said complaint made by the de facto complainant, F.I.R has been registered.

4. The learned Government Advocate(Criminal side) appearing for the State would submit that the petition enquiry is pending against the petitioners.

5. In the view of the above submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side), the respondent police is directed to conduct the enquiry and if any prima facie case is made out against the petitioners, the respondent police shall register the F.I.R or close the petition enquiry within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
