ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to correct the petitioner's name from Rajalakshmi, wife of Krishnan to Rajam, Wife of Krishnan, in the revenue records pertaining to New T.S No. 527/4 and New T.S No. 527/6 situated at North 4th street, Pudukkottai Town, Pudukkottai Municipality, Pudukkottai Taluk, Pudukkottai District in accordance with prior title and transaction documents relating to the said properties, within the stipulated time to be fixed by this Honourable Court

2. The petitioner's correct name is Rajam, wife of Krishnan. However, the respondents issued patta mentioning the petitioner's name as Rajalakshmi, wife of Krishnan. The contention of the petitioner is that in other revenue records and statutory documents, the petitioner's name is shown as Rajam, wife of Krishnan, and not Rajalakshmi.

3. Therefore, the respondents are directed to correct the petitioner's name in the revenue records and re-issue the patta within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is allowed. There shall be no order as to costs.
