PRAYER :- For Bail in Cr.No. 51 of 2026 on the file of the respondent police. ORDER: The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 11.02.2026, for the offences punishable under Sections Section74 and 77 of BNS and Section 4 of TNPHW Act, in Crime No.51 of 2026, on the file of the respondent police, seek bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner recorded the video of the victim girl, who came to India from Malaysia and stayed in a hotel namely Sri Muthu Lodge, Thanjavur on 11.02.2026. Immediately the same was found out and complaint was given. Hence, the case has been registered for the above said offence and he was arrested and in judicial custody and his cellphone was also seized and incriminating materials have been sent to the Forensic Department.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. However, he has been arrested and are languishing in jail from 11.02.2026. Therefore, he prays for grant of bail.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police strongly opposed for grant of bail on the ground that though the petitioner has no previous case, in the present case, he took videograph of the victim. The investigation is in primary stage. 5.Considering the facts and circumstances and and the investigation is in primary stage, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. 2/4

6.Hence, this criminal original petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner, to move the bail application after filing of final report. 06.03.2026 TM To 1.The Inspector of Police, Thanjavur Medical College Police Station, Thanjavur District.
