Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 5th respondent to conduct the festival without giving special respect to any body or of any kind in the ongoing temple festival at Arulmigu Angala Parameswari Temple, Poolankuruchi Village, Thiruppathur Taluk, Sivagangai District scheduled on 16.03.2025.

O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction to the fifth respondent to conduct the festival without giving special respect to any body or of any kind in the ongoing temple festival at Arulmigu Angala Parameswari Temple, Poolankuruchi Village, Thiruppathur Taluk, Sivagangai District, scheduled on 16.03.2025.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. Having regard to the nature of the order proposed to be passed in this writ petition, notice to the respondents 8 to 10 is dispensed with.
3.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, earlier, without following the rotation basis, two clans, namely Nangu Karai and Aindhu Karai, created problems during the temple festival held on 17.03.2024. The petitioner had also filed a writ petition in WP(MD) No. 6183 of 2024, in which this Court passed an order on 14.03.2024, directing that no person shall be 3/6
given special respect or honour in connection with the temple festival. The learned counsel for the petitioner further submitted that, in order to maintain peace and tranquillity, a similar order may be passed in the present writ petition for conducting the upcoming temple festival, which is scheduled to be held on 16.03.2025.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also taking note of the order passed by this Court in WP(MD) No. 6183 of 2023 dated 14.03.2024, this Court directs the fifth respondent to conduct the forthcoming temple festival without giving special respect or honour to any person associated with the said temple.
5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. 14.03.2025 Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No PKN Note: Issue order copy today.
