O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of mandamus seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the representation dated 20.01.2023 by which representation, the petitioner sought patta for property in Natham Suvey No.624/9, measuring 181.63 sq.mt at 1st Ward, Thullupatti @ Ganesapuram, Nilakottai Town and Taluk, Dindigul District.

2. It is stated that the said property was allotted to the husband of the petitioner, by name R.Manickavel at the time of partition among his family members. It is also claimed that it is an ancestral property. It is also stated that the husband of the petitioner executed a settlement deed in favour of the petitioner by way of a document registered as Document No.2723 of 2014 on 10.09.2014 by the Sub Registrar, Nilakottai, Dindigul District. The petitioner claimed to be in possession and also claimed that the property had been assessed to tax and tax had been paid.

3. Let the petitioner file an application through online after adopting the proper procedure and if such an application is filed, the second

respondent / Tahsildar may examine the application and issue notice not only to the petitioner but also to the other parties to the partition deed by which the property was allotted to the husband of the petitioner herein and then examine the issue relating to grant of patta and pass necessary orders. If any clarifications are received, the petitioner may be put on notice and clarifications sought.

4. The entire exercise by the second respondent should be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date on which the online application is filed by the petitioner.

5. This Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
