O R D E R
[Order of the Court was made by B.PUGALENDHI, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 1st and 2nd respondents to produce the petitioner's wife, by name, Ranjani, D/o Varadharajan, aged about 21 years before this Court and set her at liberty.
2.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the petitioner as well as the detenue appeared before this Court through video conferencing from the Public Prosecutor's Office. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
H.C.P.(MD) No.599 of 2021 On enquiry, the detenue has stated that she is willing to go with her husband, the petitioner herein, however, she has apprehended some danger at the hands of the respondents 3 and 5. 3.Mr.G.Thalaimutharasu, learned counsel for the respondents 3 to 5 would state that he would advice his clients that they would not disturb further.
4.Since the detenue has expressed her apprehension, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the State shall direct the second respondent to provide adequate protection to the detenue Ranjani and she is set at liberty and she is permitted to go with her husband, the petitioner herein.
5.In view of the above fact, this habeas corpus petition is closed.
