ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeking orders to direct the Respondent Police to file Final 1/4

Report in Crime No.868 of 2021 pending on the file of the respondent as expeditiously as possible.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the respondent police registered an FIR in Crime No.868 of 2021 and that the investigation is in progress and so far ten witnesses have been examined. Hence, he seeks five months time to file a final report before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court.

4. Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.868 of 2021 before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court, within a period of five month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
