PRAYER:Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, Mandamus directing the Respondents 1 and 2 to consider the Petitioners representation dated 15.02.2025 and further direct the Respondents 1 and 2 to take appropriate action against the 6th Respondent and to close the illegal quarry operation run by the 6th Respondent in Kumaramalavaran Lake situated in Survey No.184 of Palayapatti South Village, Budalur Taluk, Thanjavur District within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by J.NISHA BANU, J.) This writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to take action against the sixth respondent to close down the illegal quarry. 2.Today, when the writ petition is taken up for hearing the learned Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents, on instructions submits that license has been granted in favour of the sixth respondent. 2/4

3.In view of the fact that the license has been granted in favour of the sixth respondent, this writ petition is dismissed. If at all the petitioner is aggrieved, it is always open to him to challenge the license granted in favour of the sixth respondent, if so advised. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
