: Respondents (Crime No.111/2016) Prayer : Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure praying to direct the 1st respondent to instruct the 2nd respondent to complete the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.111 of 2016 pending on the file of the 2nd respondent within a stipulated time as this Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case. ORDER

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that investigation in Cr.No.111 of 2016 was conducted and the case has been closed as 'action dropped' on 25.06.2016. But however, the closure report has not been filed before the concerned Executive Magistrate.

2. Mr.K.Shunmugam, Special Sub Inspector, Alangulam Police Station, is present. A copy of the closure report has been furnished to the learned counsel for the petitioner across the bar.

3. The respondent police is directed to file the closure report before the Executive Magistrate, namely the Tahsildar, Alangulam, Tirunelveli District, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Tahsildar, Alangulam, is further directed to take photo copies of the closure report and other documents and send the originals to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Alangulam, within a period of two weeks https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

thereafter. Liberty is given to the petitioner to approach the learned Judicial Magistrate, Alangulam, for filing protest application, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of the records from the Tahsildar, Alangulam.

4. The criminal original petition is closed with the above direction.
