ORDER

This petition has been filed for a direction to the Inspector of Police, Dindigul Town North Police Station, Dindigul District not to harass the petitioner under the guise of conducting an enquiry.

2. On the complaint given by one Indrani, a petition enquiry is pending. It is also represented that the petitioner earlier given an undertaking that he will return the money that has been borrowed by him, but he has failed to repay the same.

3. Under such circumstances, the petitioner is directed to appear before the 2nd respondent police and participate in the enquiry and during enquiry, he shall not be harassed. During the course of enquiry, if any cognizable offence is made out, the respondent police is free to register an FIR and this order shall not be a shield for the petitioner against arrest. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
