PRAYER:- This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to take appropriate action on the representations given by the petitioner dated 02.05.2020 and 11.05.2020 within the period that may be stipulated by this Court.

ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed for issuing a direction to the first respondent to take appropriate action on the representations given by the petitioner dated 02.05.2020 and 11.05.2020 within the time stipulated by this Court.
2. The case of the petitioner is that he is living in Kottaimedu Village and doing agricultural activities. The third respondent being the President of Kottaimedu Village Panchayat, from the day one of assuming, she has started misusing the panchayat funds and official power for her own benefits. The Bank account is maintained by the Kottaimedu Village Panchayat in account No.1288101014877 at Canara Bank in Alanganallur Branch. While so, on 17.04.2020, the second respondent has inspected the village panchayat and found that the third respondent by manipulating the records has mis-appropriated the panchayat funds by transferring to his personal accounts. Apart from that a sum of Rs.6,70,000/- was transferred to one Ramkumar, who is none other than the husband of a Ward member. Hence, the petitioner has sent a detailed representations dated 02.05.2020 and 11.05.2020, to the respondents 1 and 2 stating that the President of Panchayat misusing the official power, but, till date no action has been taken. W.P(MD)No.6817 of 2020 the petitioner has come forward with the present Writ Petition before this Court.
3. When the matter was taken up for admission on 17.06.2020, the learned Additional Government Pleader was directed to get instructions from the respondents 1 and 2.
4. Today, Mr. Ayiaram K. Selvakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, who took notice for the respondents produced a letter issued by one P. Valli, who is the Block Development Officer of the Alanganallur Panchayat, dated 16.06.2020 in Na.Ka.No. 13/2018/jp2 to the Branch Manager, Canara Bank, Alanganallur, not to process the Kottaimedu Panchayat Account No. No.1288101014877, until further orders from the first respondent, which has been forwarded to the Assistant Director (Panchayats), Maudrai, wherein the said account has been freezed temporary.
5. Based on the above submission made, it is seen that action has been taken against the President of Panchayat, based on the representation of the petitioner concerned.
6. In view of the above, the respondents 1 and 2 are directed to consider the representations of the petitioner, dated 02.05.2020 and 11.05.2020 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
