PRAYER :- Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to release the Petitioner's husband by granting Emergency Leave for 8 days from 07.03.2026 to 14.03.2026 namely Mayachamy, S/o. Alagusundar (C.P.No. 6204) detained at Central Prison, Madurari so as to attend the ear piercing ceremony of her daughters namely Agalya and Shalni by considering her representation dated 02.03.2026 in the light of the Rule 6 of the Suspension of Sentence Rule, 1982 within the time frame as fixed by this Court.

[Order of the Court was made by N.ANAND VENKATESH, J.] This writ petition has been filed for direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the representation made by the petitioner, wherein the petitioner has sought for granting of emergency leave for 8 days for her husband who is undergoing sentence at Central Prison, Madurai. 2/5
2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation made by the petitioner has been rejected through proceedings dated 05.03.2026 by the third respondent.
3. In view of the above development, no further orders can be passed in this writ petition and the same stands closed. It is left open to the petitioner to challenge the proceedings of the third respondent in the manner known to law.
