For Respondent : Mr.KR.Bharathi Kannan, Government Advocate (Crl.Side) PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec.438 of Cr.P.C PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Crime No. 24/2021 on the file of the respondent police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioners, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Section 4(1)(aaa) TNP Act in Crime No.24 of 2021, seek anticipatory bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioners are employees of TASMAC. The allegation against them is that they sold the liquor bottles on higher price, when the shop was closed, due to election. Hence, the complaint.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners are innocent persons and they did not commit any offence as alleged by the prosecution.

4.The learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) appearing for the respondent police strongly opposed this petition on the ground that this case was registered only on 04.04.2021 and the investigation is in preliminary stage.

CRL OP(MD)No.5474 of 2021 5.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

6.Considering the serious allegation against the petitioners and considering the fact that this case was registered only on 04.04.2021 and the investigation is in preliminary stage, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
