PRAYER: This petition is preferred under Section 482 Cr.P.C., to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to provide police protection to the petitioner's land in S.No.437/1A and 436/2B, situate at Sethur Village, Natham Panchayat, Dindigul District, while it is measured by the Government Officials by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 29.01.2016.

The petitioner has filed this criminal original petition, under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, seeking police protection to his land, comprised in Survey Nos.437/1A and 436/2B of Sethur Village, Natham Panchayat, Dindigul District, while it is measured by the Government officials, based on his representation, dated 29.01.2016.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 and 2.

3. A perusal of the representation, dated 29.01.2016, would go to show that the dispute is civil in nature. In my considered opinion, in this matter, the police protection cannot be granted. Therefore, the direction as sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted and it is for the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law. Hence, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
