ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct these respondents 1 to 4, to correct the mistake, in the patta No 277 and 524, in Nakkalamuthanpatti Revenue Village, Kovilpatti Taluk, Thoothukudi District, as Lakshmiyammal, wife of Ayyalusamy, instead of Lakshmiyammal, wife of Dasari Naicker and Lakshmiyammal, daughter of Dasari Naicker, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

2. The contention of the petitioner is that the respondents have mentioned the name as Lakshmiyammal, wife of Dasari Naicker. However, the correct name is Lakshmiyammal, wife of Ayyalusamy. Hence, she seeks to correct the name in Patta Nos.277 and 524.

3. In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to submit a fresh representation to the second respondent / District Revenue Officer. The petitioner shall also submit all relevant documents to the second respondent within a period 2/4

of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On such submission, the respondents shall consider the same, conduct an enquiry, and carry out the necessary correction within a period of twelve weeks therefrom.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 11.03.2026 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes jbr To:
