: Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to allot the land in S.No.110/25, Nambuthalai Village, Ramanathapuram District, in favour of Thiruvadanai Panchayat Union High School for upgradation and consequently to forbear the respondents 1 to 3 from allotting the lands for any other purpose.

O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by S.NAGAMUTHU, J.] The petitioner has come up with this Public Interest Litigation seeking a direction to the first respondent to allot the land in S.No.110/25, Nambuthalai Village, Ramanathapuram District, in favour of Thiruvadanai Panchayat Union High School for upgradation and consequently to forbear the respondents 1 to 3 from allotting the lands for any other purpose.

2. Today, when the Writ Petition was taken up for hearing, Mr.T.R.Janarthanam, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that already sufficient land has been allotted for the construction of the Government High School and as a matter of fact, the Government has allotted a sum of Rs.162.01 Lakhs for construction of the building and the construction is in progress.

3. Recording the said submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
