Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to merge the segregated areas of our Vellaripatti Village and consequentially to re alter the jurisdiction of our Village Panchayat within the time that may be stipulated by this Court and pass such further or other orders. ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by R.SUDHAKAR,J.) This writ petition has been filed in public interest, seeking a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to merge the segregated areas of Vellaripatti Village and consequently re-organise the jurisdiction of the said Village.
2. Mr.A.K.Baskarapandian, learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents 1 to 7 submitted that the issue in dispute has already been dealt with by the fifth respondent and proceedings have been passed on 27.03.2014, wherein it is stated that resolution of both panchayats is required to re-alter the boundaries and in the absence of one, the request made for re-organisation of two villages, cannot be considered.
