ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to conduct survey and demarcate the boundaries of the petitioner's properties comprised in Survey Nos. 254/6 and 254/8 situated at Pudukottai Village, Manaparai Taluk, Trichy District, by considering the petitioner's online application dated 31.12.2026.

2. The petitioner is seeking to survey and demarcate the four boundaries. The sixth respondent / Tahsildar shall conduct the survey and demarcate the boundaries of the petitioner's properties, after issuing notice to the petitioner and respondents 3 to 5, with the assistance of the surveyor. In case police protection is necessary, the sixth respondent shall seek police protection and the jurisdictional police shall provide police protection. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Since, the appropriate authority is the Tahsildar, Manaparai, this Court, suo motu, impleads the Tahsildar, Manaparai, as the sixth respondent in this petition. The sixth respondent is directed to adhere to the following Standard Operating 2/5

Procedures:

a. The official respondent shall issue notice to the petitioner immediately reaching the spot where survey is to be conducted. The petitioner shall affix the signature by receiving the notice of survey.

b. After survey again the petitioner shall affix signature indicating that the survey was conducted to their satisfaction.

c. If the petitioner is not satisfied, then also the petitioner shall affix signature indicating their dissatisfaction or with protest. The petitioner shall indicate that reason of their dissatisfaction or protest. The aforesaid procedure shall be strictly followed by the parties.

3. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
