O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the respondent police not to harass the petitioner under the guise of enquiry on the complaint made by one Jenifa Rani against the petitioner.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the first and second respondents and perused the materials placed on record.

3. Mr.Rageeswaran, Sub-Inspector of Police, B5 South Gate Police Station, is present in Court today. On instructions, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) submitted that one Jenifa Rani has given a complaint against the petitioner, which is pending enquiry before the Inspector of Police, South Gate Police Station.

4. The petitioner is directed to participate in the enquiry and during enquiry, he shall not be harassed. During the course of enquiry, if any cognizable offence is made out, the Inspector of Police, South Gate Police Station is free to register an FIR and this order shall not be a shield for the petitioner against arrest.
