Prayer: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the second respondent police to complete the investigation and to file a final report in Crime No.29 of 2020 on the file of the second respondent within a stipulated time from this Court.

ORDER

The petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent police to complete the investigation and to file a final report in Crime No.29 of 2020 on the file of the second respondent within a stipulated time fixed by this Court. 2.The case of the petitioner is that one Felixraja on false promise of marriage, had physical relationship with the petitioner and thereafter, the said Felixraja arranged marriage with some other girl. When the same was questioned by the petitioner, the said Felixraja threatened her and his family members. Hence, the petitioner made a complaint before the second respondent police and the same was registered in Crime No.29 of 2020 for the offences under Section 417 and 376 of I.P.C., on 16.09.2020. Thereafter, the second respondent has not conducted the investigation properly and he did not take any steps to complete the same. 3.According to the learned Government Advocate(crl.side), the investigation is going on and the same is yet to be completed and he https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.5484 of 2021 seeks eight weeks time to complete the investigation and file a final report.

4.Considering his request, there shall be a direction to the respondent to conclude the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.29 of 2020 within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
