O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed for the issue of Writ of Mandamus directing the third respondent to consider the application submitted by the petitioner on 01.03.2019 and the subsequent representation made on 02.03.2021 and issue Patta in the name of the petitioner with respect to the subject property.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the subject property originally belonged to his father and he was also granted Patta by the third respondent in patta no.34.

3. The further case of the petitioner is that on the demise of his father, he became the owner of the property and applied for the Patta before the third respondent by submitting an application on 01.03.2019. Since the same did not evoke any response, the petitioner made a representation before the third respondent on 02.03.2021. The same also was not acted upon by the third respondent. Left with no other alternative, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court seeking for appropriate directions.

4. Heard Mr.V.M.Balamohan Thampi, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Mahendran, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the third respondent to consider the application made by the petitioner on 01.03.2019 and deal with the same on its on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight (08) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the third respondent along with all the relevant documents and also a copy of this order.

7. This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
