Respondents This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant patta to this petitioner, his mother Rengalakshmi and his brothers Rengaraj, Vijayaraj and Rajesh Kannan (legal heirs of the deceased Rengasamy) jointly for the lands under the character of natham private land for an extent of 0.00201 hectare (which is as per the decree in 2 lots as 1184.6 sq. ft and 880.8 sq. ft) for S.No. 227/2 in Naduvapatti Village in Sankaran Kovil Taluk in Tirunelveli District within a time framed fixed by this Honourable Court.

ORDER

The petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.04.2014 for grant of patta to him.

2. Mr.N.Manoharan learned Spl.Govt.Pleader takes notice for the official respondents.

3. By consent, this Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would be suffice if the representation of the petitioner is disposed of, by the respondent, on merits and in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5. The learned Spl.Govt.Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that the representation of the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.

6. In view of the above, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner in this Writ Petition, the second respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner, dated 20.04.2014, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to the interested parties, if any, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
