O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to give police protection to the petitioner's life and limb from the respondents 3 to 6.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the tenant under the fifth respondent. Due to COVID-19, the petitioner is not in a position to pay the entire rent and thereby, with the help of respondent 3, 4 and 6, the fifth respondent attempted to evict the petitioner from the premises where the petitioner is resided. Hence, the prayer sought for by the petitioner is very much necessary to protect his life and limb.

3.The learned Additional Public Protector appearing for the respondents 1 and 2, on instructions, would submit that based on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.[MD]No.6389 of 2020 the complaint given by the petitioner, dated 15.06.2020, the second respondent police initiated an enquiry in C.S.R.No.359 of 2020 and the same is pending. Further, he undertakes that during enquiry if it is found that protection is required, suitable action will be taken.

4. Recording the same, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
