O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the 1st respondent not to interfere in civil dispute relating to O.S.No.178 of 2017 on the file of the District Munsif Court, Tirunelveli.

2. The petitioner is the son-in-law of the 2nd respondent and his wife got estranged from him and has been living with the 2nd respondent. There are also property disputes between the two parties. While so, on the complaint given by the petitioner, two cases in Crime Nos.301 and 308 of 2017 have been registered against the 2nd respondent and others. Similarly, on the complaint given by the 2nd respondent, a case in Crime No.309 of 2017 has been registered against the petitioner. While so, it is the allegation of the petitioner that the Investigating Officer is taking sides with the 2nd respondent and inferfering in the property dispute between the petitioner and the 2nd respondent.

3. At this juncture, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that the Investigating Officer will not interfere in the civil dispute as long as there is no report of commission of any cognizable offence by either party.
