PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner's shop at 14, Chitrakkara Street, Ground Floor, Nallama Naidu Street, Madurai625001 based on the representation of the petitioner dated 29.05.2020.

ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed seeking for police protection to the petitioner's shop at 14, Chitrakkara Street, Ground Floor, Nallama Naidu Street, Madurai-625001 based on the representation of the petitioner dated 29.05.2020.

2.In an earlier occasion, this Court, by an order dated 26.06.2020, has granted interim police protection for a period of two weeks. Thereafter, the tenant / petitioner has never opened her shop. In such view of the matter, as the dispute primarily with regard to tenancy matters, the same has to be resorted only before the Civil Court. This Court is of the view that no such blanket directions could be issued.
