Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent herein/District Revenue Officer to consider the Petitioners representation 24.03.2020 and to resurvey the Survey No.470 in Velliyanai Village, Karur District and rectify the mistakes erupt in UDR survey and issue separate patta in favour of the Petitioners for an extent of 1 acre 1⁄2 cents each, in view of proceedings of the 3rd Respondent herein/the Tahsildar in Na.Ka.No.A4/425/2019 dated 23.12.2019 and also as per Judgment and Decree dated 25.10.2017 in SA(MD)No.958/2014 on the file of this Court, within a time stipulated by this Court. The above writ petition is filed for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 24.03.2020 to resurvey the S.No.470 at Velliyanai Village, Karur District and rectify the mistakes that has crept in the UDR survey and issue separate patta in favour of the petitioners in view of proceedings of the third respondent herein in Na.Ka.No.A4/425/2019 dated 23.12.2019 and also as per the judgment and decree dated 25.10.2017 in SA(MD)No.958/2014 on the file of this Court. 2.Considering the limited request sought for by the petitioners and on hearing the learned counsel appearing on either side, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the following direction:- The first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 24.03.2023 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording personal hearing to all the parties concerned. 3/5
3.However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
