ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for jewel loan waiver as per the G.O.Ms.No.97 dated 01.11.2021 based on the petitioner's representation dated 28.03.2022 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner claims that he pledged 34 grams of gold jewels with the third respondent and availed jewel loan. According to him, as per G.O.Ms.No.97 dated 01.11.2021, he is entitled for jewel loan waiver as the jewels pledged by him are below 40 grams. He has submitted a representation on 28.03.2022 with the respondents for the said purpose. 3. Heard Mr.J.C.Rathnavel Pandian, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Thilak Kumar, learned Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

4. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner's representation is considered on merits and in accordance with law, after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 28.03.2022, seeking for jewel loan waiver as per G.O.Ms.No.97 dated 01.11.2021, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner.

6. With the aforesaid direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
