This petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to afford sufficient police protection to the petitioner to run his Auto from Thoothukudi Anna Old Bus Stand Auto Stand.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it would be suffice, to issue a direction to the second respondent to consider his representation dated 19.08.2016 as expeditiously as possible.

4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 19.08.2016, and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
