ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioners are apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 353, 294(b), 379 and 506(i) IPC in Crime No.62 of 2018, seek anticipatory bail.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent Police.

3.The de facto complainant is working in Fisheries Department. His allegation is that the petitioner picked up quarrel with him and the petitioner snatched away the bag, containing cell phone and Rs.43,000/- as cash. There is no explanation as to how the said sum was carried in the bag of the defacto complainant. 4.The petitioner, on the other hand, alleged that the de facto complainant demanded illegal gratification, which led to the occurrence in question. The defence version projected by the petitioner appears to be some what probable. 5.Considering the nature of allegation made against the petitioners, this Court is inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners with certain conditions. Accordingly, the petitioners are ordered to be released on bail in the event of arrest or on their appearance before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Devakottai and on their executing a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two common sureties for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Magistrate concerned and on further condition that the petitioners shall appear before the respondent police as and when required for interrogation. The petitioners shall comply with the conditions stipulated under Section 438 Cr.P.C. scrupulously.

6.The petitioners shall appear before the concerned Magistrate within a period of 15 days from the date on which the order copy is made ready, failing which, the petition for anticipatory bail shall stand dismissed.
