Respondents Prayer:

This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 2 and 3 herein to forthwith consider the representation dated 19.06.2015 of the petitioner association and release the Welfare Funds to the members of the petitioner Association whose applications are pending before the second respondent.

ORDER

The petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 19.06.2015 whereby they requested the authorities concerned to disburse the welfare fund to the Members of the Association.

2. Mr.M.Murugan, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the official respondents.

3. By consent, this Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would be suffice if the representation of the petitioner is disposed of, by the respondents, on merits and in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court.

5. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the official respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.

6. In view of the above, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner in this Writ Petition, the second and third respondents are directed to pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner, dated 19.06.2015, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to the petitioner as well as the other interested parties, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
