ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner to investigate the above case in Crime No.16 of 2018 on the file of the respondent and file final report within a time fixed by this Court.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) for the respondent. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though the FIR in Crime No.16 of 2018 was registered in the year 2018 itself by the respondent police, they have not taken any steps to complete the enquiry and file a final report till now. There is no progress in the investigation. Hence, this petition. 4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the state on instructions would submit that there are so many witnesses in this case. Hence, he prays 12 months time to complete the investigation and file the final report.

CRL OP(MD). No.6425 of 2020 5.Considering the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), the respondent police is directed to investigate the case in Crime No.16 of 2018 on the file of the respondent police and file a final report within a period of twelve months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 6.With the above direction this criminal original petition is disposed of.
