Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent No.1 to delete the name of the petitioners from the history sheet on the file of the respondents No.2 and 3.
For Petitioners in both W.Ps : Mr.T.Lajapathi Roy For Respondents in both W.Ps : Mr.S.Murugan Additional Government Pleader COMMON ORDER These writ petitions have been filed seeking for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to delete the name of the petitioners from the history sheet on the file of the respondents No.2 and 3.
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that two cases have been registered against the petitioners and one case is for communal clash and another case is for major offence under Section 302 I.P.C., and both the cases have been registered in the year 2010. He further submitted that one more case is also registered against the petitioners under Section 107 of Cr.P.C in Crime No.91 of 2010.
4.These facts are not in dispute. Except these cases, there is no other case pending against the petitioners. As per the procedure, the respondents are duty bound to review history sheet periodically. Though the cases have been registered against the petitioners in the year 2010, admittedly there is no other case registered against the petitioners for the past 5 years. Therefore, history sheet in the year 2010 cannot be allowed to continue for ever.
5.In such circumstances, this Court directs the first respondent to delete the name of the petitioners from the history sheet pending on the file of the respondents No.2 and 3, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With the above direction, the writ petitions are disposed of. No costs.
