ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA,J.) Alleging that the petitioner's wife viz., Bhuvaneswari, aged about 24 years was found missing from 25.12.2025 and that despite the complaint, a case has been registered in Crime No.64 of 2025 under the caption "Woman Missing", no action has been taken by the respondent police, the present Habeas Corpus Petition is filed.
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents. 3.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that the wife of the petitioner is aged about 24 years was missing and that based on the complaint given by the petitioner, case in Crime No.64 of 2024 was registered under "Woman Missing". During the course of investigation, the missing person was traced at Devakottai Taluk limits and the same was informed to the parents of the missing person and
that they have appeared before the police station. During the enquiry, the alleged missing person has informed that due to matrimonial discord with her husband, she has left the matrimonial home on her own volition and she was working in Tirupur and later, she came to know about the pending of Habeas Corpus Petition, she appeared before the police station and she has expressed her willingness to go along with the petitioner.
4.Recording the aforesaid submissions, the alleged missing person is not under illegal custody of anybody, the Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed. [A.D.J.C., J.] & [R.P., J.] 11.06.2025 NCC:Yes/No Index:Yes/No Ns To 1.The Superintendant of Police, Sivagangai District.
