ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to grant permission to the Petitioner to carry flowers in procession from Semmalapatti Village to Arulmigu Muthumariamman Temple, Konnaiyur, for the Panguni Perundhiruvizha Flower Festival.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that there is a dispute between the petitioner and his elder brother, who is the 5th respondent with respect to carrying of flowers in the procession during Panguni Perundhiruvizha of Arulmigu Muthumariamman temple. In this 2/6

regard, already a peace committee meeting was conducted in the previous year and an order was passed in favour of the fifth respondent. In the interregnum, the fifth respondent had committed several misappropriation in the conduct of administration of the temple, and hence he is removed from the post of Ambalam. Being his brother, the petitioner claims that he should be permitted to carry flowers in the capacity of Ambalam during the said temple festival.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that already a peace committee meeting is directed to be conducted by the fourth respondent in this regard and the fourth respondent is likely to conduct the same at the earliest.

4. Learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) appearing for the fourth respondent submitted that the same would be conducted as per the direction of this Court.

5. Heard either side and carefully perused the materials available on record.

6. In this regard, the fourth respondent is directed to conduct an enquiry forthwith by serving notice upon the petitioner and the fifth respondent and deal with the matter, in the manner known to law within a period of two days from today(10.03.2026).

7. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
