Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to provide police protection to the petitioner and to take appropriate actions against the respondents 3 to 5. For Petitioner : Mr.S.M.A.Jinnah For Respondents : Mr.R.Karthikeyan, Additional Government Pleader.

O R D E R

Though the present writ petition has been filed for Mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and to take appropriate action against the respondents 3 to 5, when the matter came up for admission, on instructions from the Sub Inspector of Police who is present, the learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that the complaint which has been given by the petitioner to the Deputy Superintendent of Police has been forwarded and the investigation is going on.

2.In such view of the matter, suffice to state that the authorities shall give sufficient opportunity to all the parties concerned and investigate the matter and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
