ORDER

The petitioners are A2 to A5 in Crime No.27 of 2020 on the file of the Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station, Palayamkottai, Tirunelveli District, and they filed this petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C., to quash the case in Crime No.27 of 2020 which was filed for the offences under Sections 294(b), 417, 420 and 506(1) of IPC and Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act.

2.In the FIR, it is alleged that the defacto complainant was fell in love with the first accused and the first accused had sexual intercourse with the defacto complainant by giving a false promise that he will marry her and subsequently, refused to marry her. So, the defacto complainant approached the family members of the first accused namely, the petitioners herein. The petitioners herein made threatening to her life and hence, the respondent police registered a case against all the accused including the petitioners.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) would submit that in this case, the Investigating Officer after conducting detailed investigation, closed the case as 'Action dropped' and RCS notice was served to the defacto complaint.

4.Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
