This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to file final report in connection with Crime No.96 of 2012 on the file of the respondent police and expedite the trial within a specified time as may be fixed by this Court in accordance with law.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent would submit that the respondent, after conducting the investigation in Crime No.96 of 2012, filed charge sheet before the Judicial Magistrate No.1, Thoothukudi in P.R.C.No.34 of 2016.

3. Recording the said submission, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
