The petitioner has come up with the present petition seeking quashment of the First Information Report registered in Crime No.241 of 2016 on the file of the respondent.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) for the respondent.
3. On a reading of the First Information Report, it appears that a dispute had arisen during election time. Since there are prima facie materials in the First Information Report, it is not a fit case to quash the prosecution at this stage. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. petitioner is an innocent, it is needless to state that the case against the petitioner shall be closed. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
