Side) PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec. 438 Cr.P.C. ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioners, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Section 294(b) IPC and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 1998 in Crime No.167 of 2016 on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.

2.Heard the learned counsel on either side.

3.The case of the prosecution is that due to some dispute between the petitioners and the de facto complainant, the petitioners abused the de facto complainant in filthy language and also threatened him with dire consequences.

4.It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioners that the petitioners also gave a complaint against the de facto complainant and the same was registered in Crime No.169 of 2016. He further submitted that the petitioners are innocent persons and they have not committed any offence and prays for anticipatory bail in favour of the petitioners.

5.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submitted that 3 previous cases are pending against the petitioners. He further submitted that it is a case of case in counter and investigation is https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

still pending.

6.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also taking note of the fact that three previous cases are pending against the petitioners, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners. Accordingly, the Criminal Original petition is dismissed.
