Prayer:Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant parole / ordinary leave for a period of four weeks to the petitioner's father namely, Karthirvel S/o.Subbaiah (Convicted Prisoner No.22758) by considering the petitioner's representation dated 10.06.2020.

ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to grant parole / ordinary leave for a period of four weeks to the petitioner's father namely, Karthirvel S/o.Subbaiah (Convicted Prisoner No.22758), by considering the petitioner's representation dated 10.06.2020.

2.When the matter is taken up for hearing today (01.03.2022), there is no representation on behalf of the writ petitioner. 3.This Court is of the view that the Court cannot direct the authorities to grant parole or ordinary leave, while exercising the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD)No.6912 of 2020 powers conferred under Article 226 of Constitution of India, in view of the directions issued by the Division Bench of this Court in the case of Saleema Vs. State of Tamil Nadu reported in 2021 (1) MWN Crl.198. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
