claim amount of Rs.8,05,315/- along with interest at the rate of 12% under the revenue Recovery Act from the 3rd respondent and deposit the same into the account of the 2nd respondent/ the Joint Commissioner of Labour Madurai by considering the petitioner's representation dated 03.03.2025 within a stipulated period as may be fixe by this Court.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent No.1 to take steps pursuant to the letter bearing Na.Ka.No.Aa2/1464/2023, dated 18.07.2024, of the second respondent for recovery of an amount of Rs.8,05,315/- together with interest on 12% under Revenue Recovery Act from the third respondent and deposit the same into the account of the second respondent.

2. This matter earlier came up for consideration on 20.03.2025 and the same was adjourned to enable the learned Additional Government Pleader to get instructions as to what steps the respondent No.1 has taken pursuant to the letter bearing Na.Ka.No.Aa2/1464/2023 dated 18.07.2024.

Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, Mr.A.Baskaran, learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing for respondents 1 and 2, on instructions from respondent No.1, submitted that respondent No.1 has already initiated steps for recovery of the amount, pursuant to the letter dated 18.07.2014 and the same would be concluded within a period of eight weeks positively by the respondent No.1.

4. In the light of the above, this Court does not see any reason to keep the matter pending. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the respondent No.1 to take all necessary steps for recovery of the amount pursuant to the letter bearing Na.Ka.No.Aa2/1464/2023 dated 18.07.2024 of the respondent No.2 and ensure that the said amount is deposited

to the respondent No.2 within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs. 26.03.2025 Index :
