O R D E R

(The order of the Court was made by S.MANIKUMAR, J.) The petitioner has sought for a Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 5 to stop the Eruthu Kattu Vizha dated on 12.7.2015 in Arulmigu Sri Sänthi Veeran Kovil Festival in Kattuanipatti Village, Sivangangai District.

2.On instructions from the respondents, Mr.N.Manoharan, learned Special Government Pleader submitted that a peace committee meeting was conducted on 06.07.2015. However, the vizha was conducted on 12.07.2015, as scheduled.

3.In the light of the above submissions, nothing remains to be adjudicated in this writ petition, as it has become infructuous. However, the issue as to whether the Éruthukattu' can be conducted is left open.
