ORDER

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking to issue a direction to the respondent to revoke the order of suspension passed vide proceedings in C.No.F1/1433/26/2022, dated 04.02.2022 in the light of the G.O.Ms.No.81, Human Resource Management Department, dated 04.08.2022 and based on the petitioner's representation, dated 23.02.2024 within the time limit stipulated by this Court.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent. Perused the materials available on record.

3.The petitioner is working as a Grade II Police Contable in the respondent Department from 18.02.2013 to till date. In the meanwhile, a criminal case in Cr.No.04 of 2022, on the file of Chennai Idol Wing Police Station came to be registered as against him, for which, he was suspended by the respondent, vide proceedings, dated 04.02.2022. Despite after a lapse of two years, the respondent has not come forward to revoke the said suspension order and he is not receiving any subsistence allowance. In this regard, he 2/5

submitted a representation on 23.02.2024 to the respondent and the same was not considered. Hence, this writ petition came to be filed. 4.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if the representation submitted by the petitioner is considered by the respondent within the time limit stipulated by this Court.

5.In view of the above said submission, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 23.02.2024 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
