O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to provide police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members by considering petitioner's representation dated 18.02.2025.

2.According to the petitioner, there is a property dispute pending between the petitioner and the fourth respondent. Already a suit in O.S.No.75 of 2017 on the file of the Additional District Judge, Thanjavur(I), Pattukottai was decreed and now an appeal in A.S. (MD)No.276 of 2024 is pending. While so, the fourth respondent 2/5

creating trouble and preventing the petitioner from entering into the property and causing threat. Therefore, the petitioner sent the representation dated 18.02.2025, but the same has not been considered. Hence this petition.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that the fourth respondent is none other than the paternal uncle of the petitioner and there is a property dispute pending between them. Therefore, the petitioner sent the representation, which is under enquiry and the enquiry will be completed within a period of fifteen days.

4.According to the petitioner, the fourth respondent is causing disturbance to the petitioner, even after the decree passed in the suit and the appeal is pending only for the particular properties. The respondents 1 to 3 admitted the receipt of the petitioner's representation and the same is under enquiry. Therefore, the third respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation within a period of fifteen days, after affording opportunities to both the parties, in accordance with law.

5.With the above direction, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
