Respondents This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.12.2014 made before the second respondent in person, within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

The petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 08.12.2014 whereby she claims old age pension under Social Security Scheme.

2. Mr.S.Sadeeshkumar learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the official respondents.

3. By consent, this Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice if the representation of the petitioner is disposed of, by the respondents, on merits and in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court.

5. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.

6. It is seen that the petitioner has been receiving pension under the Social Security Scheme since 2007 and it was abruptly stopped for the last three months. The old age pension is one of the welfare schemes implemented by the Government of Tamil Nadu for the poor people, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

which cannot be stopped by the respondents without any rhyme or reason. Hence, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner in this Writ Petition, the second respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner, dated 08.12.2014, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
