(Order of the Court was made by R.SUBRAMANIAN, J) The petitioner seeks for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to grant permission to conduct 'Manju Virattu' and to perform stage drama "Valli Thirumanam" which is scheduled to be held on 24.03.2023 and to perform another stage drama which is to be held on 10.04.2023 on the eve of Panguni Festival in Arulmighu Sri Muthupidari Amman Sri Mudimalaiyandi, Sri Veppilai Karuppu Temple, V.Pudur, 2/5

2.Mr.P.Thilak Kumar, learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the request of the petitioner to conduct 'Manju Virattu' programme has been rejected by the first respondent, District Collector, Madurai on 21.03.2023.
3.In view of the same, the prayer sought for in this writ petition cannot be granted. Hence, this writ petition is dismissed. Liberty is given to the petitioner to challenge the rejection order in a manner known to law. No costs.
