ORDER

The petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents to reissue passport, mentioning his correct date of birth as ''23.04.1976'', by considering his application dated 28.02.2025.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. According to the petitioner, on 04.03.2025, he approached the first respondent with all the certificates, wherein his correct date of birth was mentioned. However, the first respondent informed the petitioner that they were ready to re-issue the passport with the date of birth mentioned in his old passport. Except the passport, the petitioner's date of birth is correctly mentioned in all other certificates. Hence, the present writ petition.

4. Heard both sides.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondents herein to consider the petitioner's application dated 28.02.2025, on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after giving due opportunity to the petitioner, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is also made clear that this Court has not expressed any of its views with regard to the merits of the matter and that it is open to the respondents to consider the same on its own merits.

6. With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
