ORDER

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The petitioner was selected as Village Assistant for Edivilagi Village in the year 2017. Since he could not produce police verification report, his appointment came to be cancelled by the third respondent on 19.04.2018. The petitioner states that he was falsely implicated in Crime No.7 of 2012 on the file of Kovilangulam Police Station and the case was ended in acquittal in C.C.No.22 of 2015 on the file of the learned District Munsif Cum Judicial Magistrate, Kamuthi on 03.07.2018. The petitioner has been representing the authority for reconsidering the order of cancellation. The first respondent is directed to pass order on the petitioner's petition mentioned representation. The first respondent shall pass such an order on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. It is open the first respondent to pass order one way or the other. 2/4

3. This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
