ORDER

The petitioner sent a complaint dated 26.08.2016 to the Joint Director, Vigilance and Anti Corruption Department, making certain allegations against the Mayor of Dindigul Corporation and another person.

2. On a reading of the complaint, it is seen that the petitioner has made vague allegations stating that the Mayor had given contracts to forty nine contractors improperly. A reading of the complaint does not inspire the confidence of this Court for issuance of a direction, as prayed for by the petitioner. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. However, the Director, Directorate of Vigilance and AntiCorruption (DVAC) has sent a communication dated 12.09.2016, to the petitioner, stating that he has to approach the Ombudsman appointed under the Tamil Nadu Local Bodies Ombudsman Act, 2014.

4. In such view of the matter, this Criminal Original Petition is closed, with liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law.
