PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents i.e., the Agricultural Production Commissioner and Principal Secretary to Government, Chennai and the Director of Agriculture, Chennai to pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law on the disciplinary action initiated in memo no.tpggp3/33339/2015 ehs; : 07.05.2019 and the amended charge memo issued in tpggp3/33339/2015 ehs; :21.02.2020 of the Director of Agriculture, Chennai within a specified time frame that may be fixed by this Court. ORDER
The Petitioner, against whom disciplinary proceedings have been initiated, has filed this Writ Petition seeking direction to the Respondents to complete the same within the specified time frame. 2.
When the matter was taken up for hearing through video conference, Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the Respondents, on instructions, states that the Enquiry Officer has taken action to commence enquiry in the presence of the Investigating Officer from 03.07.2020 onwards and the disciplinary proceedings would be completed within a period of six months from the commencement of enquiry without delay. He has also filed a memo to that effect, which is placed on record.

In view of the aforesaid submission made, the Respondents shall conduct enquiry in the disciplinary proceedings from 03.07.2020 onwards and ensure that there is atleast one effective hearing every week showing progress of the case. The Respondents, after affording full opportunity of hearing to all the parties concerned following https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
W.P.(MD)No.6930 of 2020 the prescribed procedure, shall consider each of the contentions raised by the Petitioner and pass reasoned orders on merits in accordance with law and communicate the decision taken to the parties concerned and report of compliance shall be filed before the Registrar (Judicial) of this Court within 15 days from the date of completion of the disciplinary proceedings.

The Writ Petition is disposed on the aforesaid terms. No costs.
